This policy explains what we collect, what we never collect, and how your information is handled when you use pupillarydistancecalculator.com.

The short version
This tool measures your pupillary distance entirely on your device. Your camera feed and any photo you upload are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers. We do not see, store, or share your face or your measurements.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum needed to keep the site working. When you load a page, our hosting provider logs standard technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. These logs are used for security and to keep the site available. They are not used to identify you.
If you contact us through the contact form, we receive the name and email address you submit, plus your message. We use these only to reply to you. We never use your contact details for marketing and we do not sell them.
Information we never collect
We never collect your camera feed, your photos, or your pupillary distance measurement. None of this data is uploaded, logged, or shared. You can use the calculator without creating an account or providing any personal information. If you close the tab, the image data is gone.
Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies. The site may use only essential local storage for basic functions, such as remembering your light or dark theme preference (theme in your browser storage). There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies.
Analytics
We do not run analytics on the measurement tool. If we use privacy-respecting, aggregated visit counts via our hosting provider, they contain no personal data and cannot be linked to your measurements. We do not build profiles or track you across sites.
Advertising & Google AdSense
This site does not currently display personalized advertising or use Google AdSense. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before any ad-related cookies are set.
Third-party services
Our contact form is processed by Formspree so that messages reach us reliably. When you submit the form, the information you enter is handled by Formspree according to their own privacy policy. No other third parties receive data from your use of the calculator. The calculator itself runs with on-device models — no face data is sent to any API.
Data security
Because the calculator runs locally, there is no server-side copy of your image to secure. For the data we do handle (contact messages and hosting logs), we use HTTPS everywhere and limit access to only what is needed to operate the site. No system is perfectly secure, but we minimize what exists to protect.
User rights
You can disable your browser's camera permission at any time, clear your browser's storage to remove the theme preference, and request deletion of a message you sent us via the contact page. We will respond to legitimate requests promptly.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. Because the tool processes no personal data, no account is created and no profile is built for any visitor, including children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information via the contact form, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
