2. The service

Pupillary Distance Calculator is a free tool that estimates your pupillary distance (PD) using your camera, a photo, or a printable ruler. The result is an estimate intended to help you order glasses online. It is not a medical device and not a substitute for a professional eye exam or an optician's measurement.

3. No medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice. A PD estimate does not replace an eye examination, a prescription, or advice from a qualified eye-care professional. If you have concerns about your vision or eye health, consult an optometrist or ophthalmologist. Do not delay professional care because of something you read here.

4. Tool / calculator accuracy disclaimer

We work to make the tool accurate, but results depend on factors outside our control — camera quality, lighting, card placement, distance, and user technique. The tool shows a confidence interval to help you judge reliability. For single-vision lenses, 1–2 mm variance is often acceptable; for progressive or high-prescription lenses, confirm with an optician.

5. User responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use the result. Verify your measurement before ordering lenses, follow the on-screen guidance (good light, level card, steady head), and do not use the tool for anyone who cannot give consent. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The site's content, design, text, and code are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, republish, or resell them without written permission. You may link to the site and share results for personal use. The PD result itself is yours to use as you wish.

7. Third-party services

The contact form is delivered via Formspree. The calculator runs on-device with browser-based vision models. No measurement data is sent to third parties. Links to external sites, if any, are not endorsements and we are not responsible for their content.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Use it at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site — including the cost of glasses or lenses ordered using a measurement — even if we were advised of the possibility. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the site.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the site.
